The Haflinger brand was founded in 1988 due to the increasing demand for the products and the penetration of the specialist trade. The Haflinger brand quickly made a name for itself thanks to its high-quality standards and timeless design. The trademark was first registered in Germany, then later in Europe, and the trademark is now known and protected in many countries around the world. Today, Haflinger stands as a symbol and term for lovingly crafted slippers and leisure shoes made from natural materials.
Incidentally, the originator of the brand itself was Gerd Otto Senior, father of the current managing director, who created the name Haflinger with his children, derived from the Haflinger horse. What do our shoes have in common with our namesake, the mountain horse Haflinger? On the one hand, the grace and aesthetics, combined with powerful endurance and longevity. On the other hand, the original naturalness, the sure-footedness, and the good, loyal character. Anyone who knows Haflingers knows what friendship and trust mean.
The headquarters of our traditional company is still in Goslar in the heart of the original landscape of the Northwest Harz. Inspired by this backdrop and having grown up with unique experiences in nature, the need for naturalness and quality is closely linked to our family and our employees.
The long-standing textile tradition is today combined with the know-how of shoe production. This resulted in the Haflinger shoe collection, which is unique in the world. The guideline is to combine natural foot and last shapes with natural raw materials and design - with the highest demands for the best workmanship.
Then and now everything in our history revolves around natural materials such as milled new wool from our own production, high-quality wool felt, first-class leather or flexible cork-latex footbeds and their loving processing.
